LUMINESS Direct LLC is not responsible for NSF or overdraft bank fees from the customer’s bank. All "Refused" packages will be issued a store credit in the form of a digital coupon code. LUMINESS foundation lasts most women throughout the entire day –providing up to 18hr wear! Our foundations wear best when applied in a few, fine passes. Be sure that you are not applying a single heavy application vs. a few fine passes. IMPORTANT- The longest applications tend to result from cleaned, prepped skin. Your perfect shade is a few steps away!
Shake both foundation bottles extremely well for a minimum of 30 seconds before your first application. This will ensure you receive the most consistent color from your airbrush makeup.The formulas are water-based and don’t contain heavy binders and emulsifiers, so they are designed to separate.
Hold up the bottles to your cheek and choose the color that is closest to your skin tone. If you want to be even more precise, you can swipe each foundation on your cheek with your finger to compare.
Place 4-6 drops of the selected shade into the foundation well.If you are in-between shades, you can mix 2-3 drops of each shade you received to create the perfect blend. Turn your system on, place your finger over the tip of the airbrush nozzle and gently pull back on the trigger to bubble your foundation, creating an evenly blended shade.
Gently pull back on the trigger to begin spraying the foundation onto your skin in a circular motion.It's important to remember that you should spray a light, delicate pass of product on your skin while staying about four fingers width away from the surface. Pull any further and you will release too much product giving a heavy, wet finish. Go light with your coverage and then create more coverage by going over desired areas 1 to 3 additional times or until your desired results are achieved.

Don't worry! We want to remind you that a little goes a long way with LUMINESS Airbrush makeup and it takes a little practice to get there. Airbrushing is the Hollywood secret to beautiful coverage and you, too, can get those same results at home. The natural, glowing look comes from light, delicate layers that gently build coverage.
When we start airbrushing, we can sometimes apply too much as we are still getting used to how the airbrush system works. We have just a few tips that can help you get the results you are looking for:
- Always keep your Breeze Airbrush moving in small circular motions to provide even application of makeup over your skin to cover those unwanted flaws.
- Stay at least four fingers from your skin. Coming too close will put too much makeup in the same area.
- Gently pull back on the trigger. Just the smallest pull on the trigger will allow the airbrush foundation into the airflow for a beautiful, even distribution of foundation.
Try one even pass all over the skin at first. Step back and see if there are places that you need a little more coverage. If you think you would like more all-over coverage, try another complete, light pass all over. If there are just small areas that you need more coverage, you can focus on those areas, concentrating with small circles where needed.

If you have an Airbrush System:
First-time users tend to apply more makeup and hold the device too close to the face. That’s ok! It takes practice! Remember to make translucent passes around the face holding the nozzle about 4 finger-widths away from the face. Practice with just the air and then add some water to get your movements, distance and pulling back on the trigger down first.
If you have a Spray Foundation:
Some users apply too much foundation or don't allow enough dry time to their routine. It takes practice! We recommend applying our Hydrating Primer first and letting it set for at least a minute, once dry, began spraying the foundation onto the brush and apply! Need a little more coverage in some areas? Allow the foundation to dry for at least a minute and apply the foundation again to the area.

Remember airbrush makeup is applied in light passes so don’t focus on the wrinkles. Make a couple of light passes to soften the look. You can also apply some Porcelain primer before the foundation to help plump up those problem areas.

LUMINESS Airbrush system is designed to be used with only LUMINESS Airbrush makeup and skincare. Using other products in your stylus is not recommended and will invalidate the LUMINESS standard warranty.

Your airbrush system does not have to be cleaned between each application, but once you're done putting on all of your makeup or skincare, it should be rinsed out thoroughly by running water through your system after each use. This will ensure the best possible makeup application! We also recommend using Tip Top cleaner once or twice a week to thoroughly clean the device. Check out the videos below that walk you through cleaning your Breeze.

My airbrush is not blowing any makeup/splattering my makeup
1. Is your Well/Color Cup cleaned?
a. Yes (see # 2)
b. No (follow below instruction)
1. Please insert your Tip-Top cleansing solution or Hot water into the Well/Color Cup
2. Let it sit for 5 seconds
3. Begin spraying out the Tip-Top cleansing solution or Hot water on a paper towel to ensure all the residue is out of the Well.
4. Once the well is only spraying out the water or cleansing solution, please grab a wet q-tip, and clean the inside of the Well.
5. Grab one of your airbrush foundation or airbrush blush and insert a few drops in the well, and begin spraying to ensure your stylus is spraying.
2. Is your Nozzle cleaned?
a. Yes (see # 3)
b. No (follow below instruction)
1. Grab a wet Q-tip and clean the inside of the nozzle
3. Is your Needle cleaned?
a. Yes (see # 4)
b. No (follow below instruction)
1. Unscrew the back handle of the Icon
2. Unscrew the Needle Chucking Nut
3. Carefully remove the needle
4. Grab a wet cloth and wipe off the makeup residue on the needle.
5. Reassemble and began spraying.

There is barely any airflow coming out of my stylus

5. Grab one of your airbrush foundation or airbrush blush and insert a few drops in the well, and begin spraying to ensure your stylus is spraying.
2. Is your Nozzle cleaned?

1. Unscrew the Nozzle until you see a gold bolt, grab a wet q-tip and clean the inside of the nozzle.
2. Unscrew the gold bolt, grab a wet q-tip and clean the inside of the bolt.
3. Use your wet q-tip to clean around the needle inside the Breeze system
4. Reassemble and began spraying.
3. Is your gold bolt adjusted?
a. Yes ( Please call customer service at 888-793-7474 )

1. Unscrew the nozzle
2. Unscrew the gold bolt and lightly screw it back in ( Sometimes if the bolt is in too tight or too light, it will prevent airflow)

About Luminess
Nearly 25 years ago, innovator, artist, and entrepreneur, Sean Mehta, had a thriving fashion and garment business as one of the largest importers of beaded gowns in the United States. During photoshoots for each fashion collection, he noticed something.
The makeup artist ALWAYS used an airbrush machine on the fashion models. He would ask each makeup artist, why are you using airbrush, and the response was always the same – It’s the best way to give you the flawless look and the only one that can last the whole photoshoot. So he thought to himself – if airbrushing is the best way to give women flawless, long-lasting and beautiful coverage – WHY doesn’t every woman in the country have one?
The answer was clear – traditional airbrushing was messy, loud, large and relatively expensive – basically, it wasn’t friendly for the everyday woman and the majority of beauty companies were focused on traditional cosmetics. Determined, Sean worked on prototype after prototype – making an airbrush system that was smaller, more portable, easier to use, more precise until finally – Luminess was born - Rooted in the desire to create something innovative that filled a need for professional quality results in an easy-to-use at-home solution.
Now that he had a product, he needed to determine how to get it into the hands of every woman in the US. After considering many different channels, he decided right in the beginning that in order to become successful he needed to maintain a close connection to the women using the product. After all, it was this close connection to the makeup artist that allowed him to see how breakthrough a device like this could be if it was to be made available for in-home use.
From that day, Luminess began advertising its Airbrush system directly to customers, fulfilling each order from its Houston headquarters, and after years of advertising has become the number one airbrush cosmetics brand in the United States with over 5 million airbrush systems sold. While the business has grown tremendously since that very first airbrush system, the principles and mission created at its founding still remain relevant today.

For years those principles allowed the brand to develop generation after generation of airbrush systems and formulations, our core product line. Each one pushing the boundary of what was thought possible farther and farther. Today, the ICON airbrush system, the 5th generation, is the smallest, most precise system available. Airbrush still remains the core of the brand, a standing reminder of the commitment to innovation and quality. However, the brand felt there was a larger need to take these founding principles and expand into categories that offered solutions for everything from canvas to color. And with that the development of a full line of Color Cosmetics and Skincare began.
Much like its original development with the airbrush cosmetics system, founder Sean Mehta and team set out to develop a truly breakthrough Skincare and Cosmetics collection. Hundreds of packaging concepts and thousands of formula versions were developed, each pushing the envelope — higher pigment coverage, innovative formula textures, and never been tried before packaging all combined to create a breakthrough color cosmetics collection featuring products for the lips, eyes, and face — a perfect compliment to the Luminess Airbrush System. Antarcticine - This glycoprotein derived from a microorganism isolated from Antarctica protects the skin from extreme cold and dry conditions.
